<div><p>Role: Environmental Health Safety Specialist</p><p>Duration: 06 months</p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Role: Environmental Health Safety Specialist responsible for supporting EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe work environment.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Conduct routine EHS inspections and audits and follow through on identified remedial actions.</li><li>Support incident investigations and track corrective actions.</li><li>Assist with maintaining relevant EHS documentation including training records, inspections records, etc.</li><li>Coordinate hazardous waste pickups and documentation.</li><li>Provide EHS training to new and existing employees.</li><li>Support risk assessments and ergonomic evaluations.</li><li>Assist in maintaining EHS management systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Cal/OSHA regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with other functions to address EHS concerns.</li><li>Support emergency response and evacuation drills.</li><li>Support and participate in EHS campaigns and activities.</li><li>Serve as the EHS business partner to assigned functional unit(s); supporting EHS programs including but not limited to EHS change management.</li><li>Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.</li></ul><h3>What we are looking for</h3><ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related field.</li><li>Certifications such as HAZWOPER, OSHA 30, etc., are a plus or ability to obtain them within 3 years of hire.</li><li>A minimum of 1-3 years of EHS experience in regulated environments (medical device, pharma, or biotech preferred).</li><li>Demonstrated experience in leading EHS programs.</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory compliance and EHS systems preferred.</li><li>Hazard identification</li><li>PPE Use</li><li>Basic EHS metrics</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, EHS management software or applications (Intelex, iAuditor, Smartsheet, etc.), incident investigation, risk assessment</li><li>Root cause analysis</li><li>Regulatory interpretation</li><li>Analytical skills</li></ul><h3>Job details</h3><ul><li>Seniority level: Mid-Senior level</li><li>Employment type: Contract</li><li>Job function: Manufacturing</li><li>Industries: Medical Equipment Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, and Biotechnology Research</li></ul><p><b>Location note:</b> Get notified about new Environmental Health Safety Specialist jobs in <b>San Diego, CA</b>.</p></div><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
