<h3>Business Systems Analyst – Banking, Lending &amp; Test Automation</h3><br /><h3>Position Overview</h3><br /><p>We are seeking an experienced <b>Business Systems Analyst V</b> with a strong background in <b>banking, consumer lending, quality engineering, test automation, API testing, and business systems analysis</b>.</p><br /><p>This role will lead complex technology initiatives from requirements and functional design through testing, implementation, and post-implementation support. The ideal candidate will combine strong banking and lending domain knowledge with hands-on experience developing and executing automated testing strategies, validating APIs and integrations, managing defects, and improving overall software quality.</p><br /><p>The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and technical partners to understand complex banking and lending processes, translate requirements into testable solutions, automate regression testing, and ensure applications and integrations perform as expected.</p><br /><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><br /><h3>Business Systems Analysis &amp; Project Leadership</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Lead complex technology projects from requirements through implementation and post-implementation.</li><br /><li>Serve as the functional lead and subject matter expert for assigned applications.</li><br /><li>Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.</li><br /><li>Develop detailed functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and supporting documentation.</li><br /><li>Facilitate project meetings and coordinate activities across business, technology, QA, and vendor teams.</li><br /><li>Analyze complex business and system data to validate requirements and identify potential issues.</li><br /><li>Participate in system conversion, integration, migration, acquisition, and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.</li><br /><li>Perform impact analysis across upstream and downstream systems.</li><br /><li>Develop project estimates, timelines, milestones, and testing phases.</li><br /><li>Work with technical teams and vendors to understand application functionality and implementation requirements.</li><br /><li>Apply strong knowledge of <b>banking and consumer lending processes</b> when analyzing requirements and developing test strategies.</li><br /><li>Support applications and workflows related to the <b>consumer loan origination lifecycle</b>.</li><br /><li>Understand and analyze <b>underwriting, credit decisioning, credit bureau processing, booking, funding, and loan servicing workflows</b>.</li><br /><li>Analyze queue management and operational workflows within lending environments.</li><br /><li>Understand how changes to lending applications may impact upstream and downstream systems.</li><br /><li>Work with business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions support lending products, customer processes, and regulatory requirements.</li><br /><li>Apply knowledge of financial services regulations, controls, and risk considerations when evaluating system changes.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Test Strategy &amp; Quality Engineering</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Develop and execute comprehensive <b>test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts</b> based on functional requirements.</li><br /><li>Drive a <b>shift-left quality approach</b>, identifying defects and quality risks early in the software development lifecycle.</li><br /><li>Identify opportunities to replace manual testing with <b>automated regression and integration testing</b>.</li><br /><li>Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases and testing frameworks.</li><br /><li>Support continuous testing and quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle.</li><br /><li>Develop and maintain test data required for functional, regression, API, and integration testing.</li><br /><li>Analyze test results, identify defects, determine root cause, and coordinate resolution with development and technical teams.</li><br /><li>Support regression testing following application enhancements, releases, and system changes.</li><br /><li>Validate application functionality across multiple integrated banking and lending systems.</li><br /><li>Participate in CI/CD pipeline validation and ensure automated testing supports reliable software releases.</li><br /><li>Establish repeatable testing processes that reduce manual regression effort and improve release quality.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>API &amp; Integration Testing</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Perform <b>API testing and validation using Postman</b> or similar tools.</li><br /><li>Develop and execute API test cases covering functional, negative, integration, and data validation scenarios.</li><br /><li>Validate API requests/responses, data, authentication, error handling, and integration behavior.</li><br /><li>Analyze API, file-based, and message-based integrations.</li><br /><li>Participate in data mapping and data lineage activities.</li><br /><li>Validate data flowing between upstream and downstream banking applications.</li><br /><li>Utilize <b>SQL and other data validation techniques</b> to confirm system and integration results.</li><br /><li>Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot integration issues.</li><br /><li>Utilize <b>Jira</b> to manage defects, user stories, testing activities, and project workflows.</li><br /><li>Use <b>Zephyr or similar test management tools</b> to develop, organize, execute, and track test cases.</li><br /><li>Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and releases.</li><br /><li>Create, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.</li><br /><li>Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.</li><br /><li>Monitor testing progress and communicate risks, issues, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.</li><br /><li>Support UAT and coordinate testing across multiple applications and teams.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Key Technical Skills</h3><br /><p>Strong experience with several of the following is required:</p><br /><ul><br /><li><b>Jira</b></li><br /><li><b>Postman</b></li><br /><li>API testing</li><br /><li>Automated regression testing</li><br /><li>Integration testing</li><br /><li>SQL/data validation</li><br /><li>CI/CD testing</li><br /><li>Functional testing</li><br /><li>Regression testing</li><br /><li>User acceptance testing</li><br /><li>Data mapping and data lineage</li><br /><li>API, file-based, and message-based integrations</li><br /><li>Mainframe or legacy system testing</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Required Banking &amp;
