Accounting Specialist

<p><b>Job:</b> Accounting Specialist (Payroll &amp; Accounts Payable)</p><br /><p><b>Location:</b> Oakland, CA</p><br /><p><b>Onsite:</b> 5x onsite per week</p><br /><p><b>Hourly Range:</b> $43.94-$52.88, depending on experience</p><br /><p><b>Benefits:</b> This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)</p><br /><p>An established legal firm is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support its Finance team with a focus on payroll and accounts payable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.</p><br /><h3>Responsibilities</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Process recurring and off-cycle payroll and maintain accurate employee records</li><br /><li>Review timekeeping, deductions, employee changes, and payroll discrepancies.</li><br /><li>Respond to payroll questions and maintain confidential payroll documentation.</li><br /><li>Process daily AP, including invoices, vendor setup, payments, and reconciliations.</li><br /><li>Review expense reports and corporate credit card activity.</li><br /><li>Support month-end/year-end activities and other Finance projects.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Qualifications</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>5+ years of payroll experience</li><br /><li>Experience with payroll, HRIS, and accounting systems.</li><br /><li>Professional services or corporate environment preferred.</li><br /><li>Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.</li><br /><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.</li><br /><li>Ability to manage confidential information and competing deadlines.</li><br /><li>Collaborative, dependable, and hands-on approach.</li><br /></ul><br /><p>Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
