Interfaces with clients at all organizational levels and takes business requirements and delivers technical work to yield productive products for end users.</p><br /><h3>Must Have Skills</h3><br /><ul><br /> <li>5+ years of hands on Oracle Database Experience<br /> <ul><br /> <li>Versions 11g and 12c</li><br /> <li>TOAD/SQL Developer experience (tool to log into the database)</li><br /> </ul><br /> </li><br /> <li>Experience with Java and hands on experience in advanced PL/SQL, developing PL/SQL</li><br /> <li>Operating Systems experience such as Linux, Unix and Windows</li><br /> <li>Familiar with SDLC Process</li><br /> <li>Ability to participate in multiple projects at the same time</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Soft Skills</h3><br /><ul><br /> <li>Ability to work and communicate across various teams, both upstream and downstream - Great communication is important</li><br /> <li>Team player</li><br /> <li>Ability and want to participate in every life cycle of the development</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Nice to have skills</h3><br /><ul><br /> <li>Oracle Fusion - HUGE PLUS</li><br /> <li>Utilities Industry Knowledge/Experience</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Education/Certification Requirements</h3><br /><ul><br /> <li>Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred</li><br /> <li>Training or certification on Java Application servers, cloud solutions and Oracle PL/SQL language - PLUS</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Day to Day Responsibilities</h3><br /><ul><br /> <li>Performs planning, design, development, testing, migration to production, and the maintenance of applications using Oracle and third-party tools.</li><br /> <li>Experience writing complex queries, using advanced PL/SQL concepts and performance tuning. Assist in defect triage, impact analysis, resolution planning and implementation</li><br /> <li>Analyzing and converting business requirements to technical requirements, followed by designing and implementing the solutions</li><br /> <li>Experience in reviewing the Oracle ADDM and AWR reports and recommending query optimization based on the analysis</li><br /> <li>Leverage Oracle 12C features to their fullest on a large-scale multi-terabyte system</li><br /> <li>Assist Decision Support team members including DBAs, database developers, requirements analysts, and others, in understanding data and meeting user requirements</li><br /> <li>Participate in project work groups with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to understand data specific needs</li><br /> <li>Participate in performance tuning activities</li><br /> <li>Provide production deployment and production support as needed</li><br /> <li>Involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle; demonstrate abilities to learn both the business processes as well as new and existing technologies</li><br /> <li>Work on sprint team in agile, rapid development and deployment environment.</li><br /> <li>Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills</li><br /> <li>Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.</li><br /> <li>Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Department</h3><br /><p>Preferred Vendors</p><br /><h3>Position Type</h3><br /><p>This is a contract position</p></div><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
