<div><h3>Job Description</h3><br /><p>AbbVie’s field‑based account representative will be based in Brooklyn, NY, with additional coverage of Staten Island and Queens. Responsibilities include executing brand strategy, managing territory and accounts, building relationships with health care professionals, and driving sales performance while adhering to AbbVie’s business code of conduct.</p><br /><h3>Responsibilities</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Deliver sales performance and meet brand KPIs and financial targets.</li><br /><li>Create pre‑call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post‑call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.</li><br /><li>Handle objections, misunderstandings and concerns to consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action in order to close on every sales call.</li><br /><li>Proactively serve customer needs and expectations, building trusted relationships and achieving win‑win agreements.</li><br /><li>Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers.</li><br /><li>Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share market intelligence with in‑field team, brand team and sales manager.</li><br /><li>Differentiated AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers, identify, develop and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Qualifications</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business–related field preferred; equivalent industry experience required.</li><br /><li>At least five years of experience with three or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.</li><br /><li>Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills; proactive identification of customer style/behaviour and adaptation of selling approach.</li><br /><li>Influences others and is viewed as a credible role model; builds collaborative partnership with district and matrix teams.</li><br /><li>Documented success in leadership and support role of increased responsibility at district, region or organizational levels.</li><br /><li>Preferred: proven track record in sales performance within therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account–based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.</li><br /><li>English language proficiency verbally and in writing.</li><br /><li>Must satisfy all applicable Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements for the assigned territory.</li><br /><li>Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking; operates effectively in a matrix environment.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Key Stakeholders</h3><br /><p>External: Specialty physicians in therapeutic brand area, pharmacists, nurses, and others as required.
