Let’s change the world.</p><br /><h3>Responsibilities</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products.</li><br /><li>Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.</li><br /><li>Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, including customizing discussions and customer interactions based on an understanding of customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.</li><br /><li>Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager.</li><br /><li>Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow as a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative.</li><br /><li>Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products and sustain that passion throughout the entire sales cycle, consistently building the brand while keeping patient impact at the forefront.</li><br /><li>Uphold Amgen values by being science-based, competing intensely to win, creating value for patients, staff, and stockholders, acting ethically, fostering trust and respect, ensuring quality, working in teams, and collaborating, communicating, and remaining accountable.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>What we expect of you</h3><br /><p>We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The sales professional we seek is a go-getter with these qualifications.</p><br /><h3>Basic Qualifications Specialty Representative</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Bachelor's Degree OR</li><br /><li>Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR</li><br /><li>High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Basic Qualifications Senior Specialty Representative</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR</li><br /><li>Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR</li><br /><li>High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><br /><ul><br /><li>Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases; and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties</li><br /><li>Local market knowledge</li><br /><li>Established relationships in the territory</li><br /><li>A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration</li><br /><li>Adaptability with our Core Competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.</li><br /></ul><br /><h3>Benefits & Compensation</h3><br /><p>The expected annual salary range for Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $89,880 – $121,602. The expected annual salary range for Senior Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $115,949 – $156,872.
