<div><h3>Purpose of the role</h3><p>To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.</p><h3>Accountabilities</h3><p>Development and delivery of high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable and optimized for performance. Cross‑functional collaboration with product managers, designers and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organization.</li></ul><h3>What will you be doing?</h3><p>Barclays Services Corp. seeks a Technology Analyst in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available). Design and develop solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Prototype financial models working closely with Quants and Trading Desk developers collocated on the trading floor in a Rapid Application Mode, adjusting to the changing requirements based on market and client conditions.</p><ul><li>Analyze, develop, and operationalize complete computer systems.</li><li>Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements.</li><li>Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet users’ needs.</li><li>Optimize systems and applications and perform analysis to improve processes.</li><li>Develop intuitive user interfaces for applications.</li><li>Install, test and maintain existing and new systems.</li><li>Research, test, or verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes.</li><li>Perform security analyses of developed or packaged software components.</li><li>Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.</li><li>Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.</li><li>Work in a varied and technical environment including Windows, Unix, Java, NoSQL, Linux, Python, Hadoop, scripting languages, cloud computing, web technologies, data science and data engineering activities and real‑time systems.</li></ul><h3>Salary and Benefits</h3><p>Minimum Salary: $150,550 per year | Maximum Salary: $160,000 per year. This position is eligible for an incentive award.
