<div><h3>The Role</h3><p>We are looking to hire a ServiceNow Development Engineer who brings strong technical expertise, a mindset that embodies the unique Moderna Mindsets, and a passion for delivering the best digital experience to our employees. The engineer will develop and support our ServiceNow platform, drive automation, and optimize business processes to help us deliver more value from our existing ServiceNow capabilities and grow the platform across Moderna.</p><h3>Here’s What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Leverage knowledge and experience to deliver end‑to‑end solutions on the ServiceNow platform.</li><li>Responsible for development, core configuration, and technical expertise of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and PA.</li><li>Design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting of each component (including Service Portal).</li><li>Develop system integrations using REST, SOAP, MID‑servers, or other relevant technologies.</li><li>Facilitate discovery of CI’s and work with class owners to set up identification and reconciliation rules.</li><li>Conduct code walkthroughs and reviews and mentor junior team members in platform and code best practices.</li><li>Participate actively in agile daily scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily, documenting development progress, and collaborating across teams.</li><li>Participate in requirement workshops, working alongside the product owner and development manager, to configure requested items and tasks using Flow Designer.</li><li>Understand and articulate to the team, development manager, and product owner the trade‑offs of customized solutions versus base configuration implementation.</li><li>Remediate production incidents and coordinate application and platform upgrades, promoting apps and updates through the app store and update sets.</li></ul><h3>Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology or scientific field OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.</li><li>6+ years of expertise developing on the ServiceNow platform in two or more capabilities (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, or PA).</li><li>At least one active ServiceNow certification (Certified System Administrator, ITSM, App Specialist).</li><li>3+ years of experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through REST, SOAP, MID‑servers, or other relevant technologies.</li><li>3+ years of experience with HTML5, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Angular.js.</li><li>Currently eligible to work in the United States with valid US work authorization; this position does not sponsor immigration or export‑controlled licenses.</li></ul><h3>Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)</h3><ul><li>Knowledge of all aspects of ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Builder, Scripted REST APIs, and Script Includes.</li><li>Experience with discovery and CMDB, including MID‑server architecture, probes and sensors, and CMDB identification and reconciliation.</li><li>Experience communicating with application users to understand and collect requirements and requests.</li><li>Experience documenting technical systems and user workflows.</li><li>Experience in life sciences, pharma/biotech, or high‑tech industries, with preference for e‑commerce, data/machine‑learning platforms, or cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Experience working in a regulated environment.</li><li>Experience working in a matrixed organization.</li><li>Desire to make an impact as part of a bold, relentless, curious, and collaborative growth company.</li></ul><h3>Pay &amp; Benefits</h3><ul><li>Best‑in‑class healthcare coverage, plus voluntary benefit programs to support your unique needs.</li><li>Holistic approach to well‑being with access to fitness, mindfulness, and mental health support.</li><li>Family planning benefits, including fertility, adoption, and surrogacy support.</li><li>Generous paid time off, including vacation, volunteer days, sabbatical, global recharge days, and a discretionary year‑end shutdown.</li><li>Savings and investment opportunities to help you plan for the future.</li><li>Location‑specific perks and extras.</li></ul><p>The salary range for this role is \$121,600.00 - \$194,500.00. The actual salary awarded will depend on multiple factors including competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs. Eligible candidates may also receive annual discretionary bonuses, incentive compensation, or equity awards, subject to company‑plan eligibility and performance.</p><h3>Working Model</h3><p>Moderna follows a 70/30 work model, aiming for 70% in‑office collaboration.
