Posted Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 5:00 AM<br />SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is looking for a Interior Designer to provide on-site professional support services to the Production Design Construction Division (PDC4) of the Production Design and Construction Directorate (PDC), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE), at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.<br />Responsibilities Include:<br /><br />Prepare comprehensive interior design packages, including structural interior design (SID) — interior finishes, materials, colors, and signage integrated into construction documents — and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&amp;E) packages with furniture plans, specifications, and cost estimates.<br />Develop space planning studies, furniture layouts, finish schedules, and design presentation boards for new construction and renovation projects.<br />Develop plans and design documentation using AutoCAD and/or Revit in support of in-house and A/E design-bid-build and design-build projects.<br />Prepare interior design portions of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), scopes of work, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates, and review third-party interior design submittals for compliance with criteria and codes.<br />Coordinate collateral equipment budgets and procurement documentation in support of project delivery.<br />Conduct site visits and field assessments to verify existing conditions and establish interior design requirements.<br />Participate in conferences with project stakeholders and customer user groups, and collaborate with architectural and engineering disciplines to ensure design coordination and integration with project requirements.<br />Provide independent, timely, and professional interior design support for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including specific projects, special projects, military construction (MILCON), maintenance, space utilization, and facilities development. Facility types include housing; community support facilities (dining halls, clubs, fitness centers, child development centers); medical facilities; education and training facilities; administration buildings; and operations buildings.<br />Required Qualifications:<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) accredited program, or a bachelor's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program with demonstrated interior design experience.<br />Minimum of five (5) years of professional interior design experience for facilities, including at least one (1) year working on facilities projects for a Federal Agency.<br />Minimum of five (5) years of code-compliant interior design experience for new construction, including renovation design.<br />Working knowledge of UFC 3-120-10 (Interior Design), DoD and Navy guide specifications, criteria, and policy, the International Building Code, the Life Safety Code, and accessibility standards (ABA/ADA).<br />Knowledge of sustainable design practices, including UFC 1-200-02 High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements.<br />Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit, Microsoft Office products, and interior design and presentation software.<br />Ability to produce results of analysis in writing, consolidate findings of others, evaluate recommendations and facts, and make oral presentations of proposed designs and study results.<br />Desired Qualifications:<br /><br />NCIDQ certification.<br />Experience preparing FF&amp;E and collateral equipment packages for DoD or other federal projects.<br />Knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and statutory requirements affecting interior design throughout the NAVFAC Southeast area of responsibility (AOR).<br />Knowledge of related architectural and engineering disciplines and their impacts on interior design.<br />Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and project management techniques, including the ability to coordinate the work of others and lead teams.<br />Full-time, on-site position at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. Standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday; alternative schedules may be considered.<br />Site visits to active construction areas are required. Government-provided PPE (safety vest, hard hat, eye and hearing protection) will be used; safety-toed boots meeting ASTM F2413 are the responsibility of the employee.<br />Eligibility Requirements<br /><br />U.S. citizenship is required.<br />Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) and favorably complete a Tier 3 background investigation for base and IT system access.<br />Valid state motor vehicle operator's license is required; a company vehicle is provided for performance of on-site duties.<br />SpecPro offers a full competitive benefits package and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
