Senior Financial Analyst

The finance department is urgently seeking qualified candidates for the<br /><br />Senior Financial Services Analyst<br /><br />position.<br />Senior Financial Services Analyst<br /><br />is responsible for<br /><br />financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis<br /><br />across the<br />organization, with particular emphasis on<br /><br />financial trend analysis,<br /><br />evaluation of<br />development deals, and management of special initiatives, such as the<br /><br />credit rating<br />process .<br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<br /><br />A Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance, Accounting, Economics, or<br />related field required<br />minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory /lead experience<br />ten (10) years of<br /><br />financial management, accounting and financial<br />reporting EXPERIENCE<br />Possess and maintain a valid California class C driver’s license and an insurable driving<br />record.<br />Develop and maintain<br /><br />financial trending models<br /><br />to identify patterns, risks, and<br />opportunities across business units; and<br /><br />Prepare rolling forecasts and long-range financial plans<br /><br />in collaboration with<br />department heads; and<br /><br />DESIRED<br /><br />public agency or governmental setting.<br />Experience with development deal analysis and/or<br /><br />credit rating processes strongly preferred.<br />A<br /><br />Master's degree<br /><br />in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is a plus.<br />Bilingual Skills<br /><br />in ASL, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish are a plus.<br />KNOWLEDGE OF: Financial management and administration principles and practices;<br />government financial analysis, accounting procedures and financial control and reporting;<br />principles and practices of<br /><br />cost accounting, internal control and audit procedures<br /><br />and<br />practices; principles and practices of federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations<br />governing public agency financing; computer-based accounting and transaction processing<br />systems;<br /><br />Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting<br />Standards Board (GASB), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Housing<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
