Full-time Signage Graphic Designer / Sign Production<br />This role involves creating, producing, and installing high-quality signage for commercial and public use.<br /><br />Benefits<br /><br />401(k) matching<br /><br />Bonus based on performance<br /><br />Competitive salary<br /><br />Flexible schedule<br /><br />Standard work week<br /><br />Paid vacation and holiday<br /><br />Production performance bonus<br /><br />Advancement opportunities<br /><br />Ongoing training opportunities<br /><br />Retirement plan (after introductory period)<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed, mounted, weeded, cut, and applied.<br /><br />Complete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media.<br /><br />Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.<br /><br />Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate.<br /><br />Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files.<br /><br />Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.<br /><br />Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.<br /><br />Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images.<br /><br />Operate and maintain printer(s).<br /><br />Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.<br /><br />Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces to various substrates (PVC, ACM, ACR, etc.).<br /><br />Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.<br /><br />Clean and maintain storage areas.<br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />Experience having worked for a sign company.<br /><br />1–2 years of graphic design experience.<br /><br />High school diploma or equivalent.<br /><br />Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop.<br /><br />Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously.<br /><br />Determine the best output method based on the customer’s needs.<br /><br />Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more).<br /><br />Ability to work under pressure to output a high volume of high-quality signage products.<br /><br />Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.<br /><br />Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.<br /><br />Be willing to install signage at customer location(s).<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
