Job Description<br />Accounting Analyst<br /><br />Position Summary<br />The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Accounting and Finance team responsible for financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This position prepares journal entries, reviews monthly financial information, analyzes business performance, and develops financial models to support strategic decision‑making. The Financial Analyst also assists in ensuring effective internal controls and provides actionable insights to management through financial reporting and analysis.<br /><br />Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br /><br />Prepare and record monthly journal entries accurately and timely.<br /><br />Review monthly financial information and analyze variances to ensure reasonableness and accuracy.<br /><br />Compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts and provide explanations for variances.<br /><br />Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.<br /><br />Evaluate and understand the design and effectiveness of internal controls, including end‑user application controls.<br /><br />Review and summarize capital expenditure requests and assess the business justification for capital investments.<br /><br />Develop financial models and perform analyses to support operational and strategic business decisions.<br /><br />Plan, coordinate, and execute ad hoc analyses and reports for management and executive leadership.<br /><br />Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to financial processes and reporting.<br /><br />Qualifications<br />Education &amp; Experience<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.<br /><br />CPA designation or equivalent professional certification preferred.<br /><br />Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools is considered an asset.<br /><br />Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities<br /><br />Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.<br /><br />Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.<br /><br />Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control concepts.<br /><br />Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.<br /><br />Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.<br /><br />Strong organizational and time management skills.<br /><br />Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.<br /><br />Flexibility to work extended hours when business needs require.<br /><br />Why Join Us?<br />This role offers the opportunity to work in a leading Automotive Tier 1 Supplier where financial analysis directly influences strategic and operational decision‑making while providing exposure to senior leadership and cross‑functional initiatives.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
