Overview<br />Winter Analyst (Dartmouth Applicants Only)<br /><br />The Winter Analyst Program at Cornerstone Research is an eight‑week experience that takes place during early 2027 of your junior year at Dartmouth College. It introduces you to the world of economic consulting and the culture of Cornerstone Research. No prior deep familiarity with the industry is required – the program is designed to bring you up to speed.<br /><br />Key Elements of the Program<br /><br />Project (case) Work : You will join case teams that typically include an expert, senior consultants, and analysts. Your contributions will span all phases of a project—from developing case strategy, to conducting analyses, to preparing experts for testimony.<br /><br />Learning Programs : Throughout the winter you will participate in a series of sessions that hone your quantitative and qualitative skills.<br /><br />Social Events : The program includes informal events to help you get to know our consultants in casual settings.<br /><br />Case Work at Cornerstone Research<br />Collaboration is central to our work. Throughout your internship you will work alongside peers, even when not on the same case. Casework typically involves multiple projects with both quantitative and qualitative elements. You will interact with analysts (junior and senior) and senior consultants.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br /><br />Developing financial and economic models<br /><br />Analyzing large datasets<br /><br />Examining market and industry behavior<br /><br />Conducting research via academic articles and relevant industry literature<br /><br />Assisting with expert written reports<br /><br />Presenting findings to colleagues, experts, and clients<br /><br />Winter Analyst Development<br />From day one, the internship focuses on equipping you with the knowledge, training, and resources to succeed. After an orientation program, you will join case teams and begin contributing immediately while continuing to acquire new skills. Through case work and other core elements, you will network with consultants and determine whether economic consulting is the right fit. Many Winter Analysts go on to join the firm full‑time after graduation.<br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />Junior‑year undergraduate student with an expected graduation date of December 2027–June 2028<br /><br />Demonstrated strong academic performance; typical GPA higher than 3.6<br /><br />Strong analytical background through coursework or internships<br /><br />Interest in business and economics<br /><br />Visa Support<br />Cornerstone Research will provide H‑1B, H‑1B1, E3 and TN visa support to full‑time candidates that require visa assistance.
