SUMMARY<br /><br />Under limited supervision, the Senior Customer Service Representative responds to customer inquiries and places customer orders to ensure expectations are accurately determined and met. This role has in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services, develops and broadens relationships with customers to fully understand their needs and provides guidance and advice to less experienced Customer Service Representatives.<br />RESPONSIBILITIES<br /><br />Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).<br />Influence Motion Industries' gross profit through negotiating sale price and purchase price within parameters.<br />Adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet demands while maximizing profit.<br />Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.<br />Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels, expedite backorders, pull inventory, and prepare orders for shipment.<br />Source products in branch inventory, distribution center inventory, or supplier inventory.<br />Determine the most cost-effective shipping method for customer orders.<br />Handle customer returns and may be assigned to one customer.<br />Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to less experienced Customer Service Representatives.<br />Assist with locating items and resolving problems for less experienced representatives.<br />May be responsible for quality and/or safety in the branch.<br />Perform other duties as assigned.<br />Respond to complex customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.<br />EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<br /><br />Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
