Job Title ::Merchandise Sales Web Designer<br />Location :: Birmingham,AL<br />Contract :: 12 months<br />The Web Designer creates digital graphics to be used on our websites and across digital marketing<br />channels in support of 48 Alabama Power Appliance Center locations. The Web Designer will be able to<br />translate high level business requirements and promotional campaigns into branded, intuitive, revenue<br />generating designs that are appropriate to their respective channel.<br />The Web Designer develops site content and graphics by collaborating with the Ecommerce Specialist<br />and Advertising team - designing images, icons, banners, etc. Designs include the following, from<br />concept to execution:<br />· Monthly emails designed and tested<br />· Website graphics (expected 2-3 updates per week)<br />· Website landing pages (Gift Guide, Branded Pages, etc.)<br />· Blog graphics<br />· Social media graphics<br />· Website UX updates<br />· Intranet updates<br />The Web Designer will make continuous improvements to the websites by upgrading site-wide content<br />and graphics as needed through testing and analysis findings, promotional needs, etc.<br />Additional duties:<br />· Be familiar with and adhere to corporate brand guidelines<br />· Collaborate with Advertising team on campaign requirements, social media strategy, etc.<br />· Support retail stores through special projects<br />· Use design best practices to maximize media’s impact<br />· Create, develop, design, code and implement digital content<br />· Test designs across multiple browsers and devices<br />· Edit &amp; proofread content for accuracy<br />· Manage code repository in GitHub<br />The ideal candidate would have experience in web graphic design, web user interface design,<br />responsive design, knowledge of web programming and experience working in Shopify with Liquid code.<br />This creative individual would be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, have strong HTML, CSS and<br />basic JavaScript. They should understand how API connections work, as well as have an understanding<br />of JSON file structure.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
