Description

Develop and/or implement customized corporate governance guidelines reflecting clients' corporate governance philosophies<br />Use Policy Engine and analyst expertise to provide customized proxy vote recommendations based on client-specific guidelines<br />Keep clients informed about new trends and emerging proposals in the investment community<br />Provide tailored reports, including annual custom policy matrices and policy gap analyses<br />Issue insightful, grounded, well-reasoned proxy vote recommendations and rationale for institutional investors in Continental Europe<br />Gather corporate governance data from companies' public documents<br />Work with institutional investors to update, develop, or formulate proxy voting guidelines<br />Complete client-specific projects and research policy-related issues<br />Support teammates in completing client projects<br />Contribute to seasonal reviews, client calls, and client-focused research reports<br />Engage with institutional investors and other market players<br />Answer internal and external queries about research analyses, policies, and vote recommendations<br />Participate in ISS Governance policy formulation and update efforts<br />Work with Corporate Technology to develop, enhance, and test applications<br />Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to ensure a positive client experience<br />Requirements<br /><br />Master's degree in Law and/or Finance, Economics/Politics or equivalent through experience<br />Previous experience in the proxy voting industry working with institutional investors is a plus<br />Strong computer literacy and excellent knowledge of MS Office<br />Strong analytical abilities and comfort with ambiguity<br />Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills<br />Excellent English writing and oral communication skills<br />Ability to formulate and support a position on an issue<br />Organizational skills and attention to detail<br />Self-driven work ethic and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment<br />Ability to work within a team-oriented environment and communicate with various internal and external parties<br />Willingness to work long hours and weekends primarily during peak weeks (March, April, May, June), and as needed throughout the year<br />Good understanding of business technology and experience working with technology in an operational context<br />Demonstrates expertise in corporate governance, proxy voting guidelines, and analytical reporting, with strong communication skills to engage with institutional investors and provide tailored recommendations.
