Job Title: Permanency Specialist (UMP)<br /><br />Agency: Department of Children and Family Services<br /><br />Location: Ottawa, LaSalle County<br /><br />Salary: $6,460/month to $9,337/month (anticipated starting salary $6,460/month)<br /><br />Job Type: Salaried, Full Time<br /><br />Position Overview<br />The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services seeks an organized, professional, and results‑oriented individual to serve as Permanency Specialist. Under general supervision, the position will provide professional child‑welfare casework services to children and families. The role involves determining the need and coordinating placement of children in substitute care facilities, conducting interviews with clients and professionals to obtain information for diagnosis and development of treatment plans, and supporting the safety and stability of children and youth in the state. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills and will be part of an innovative team dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of Illinois children and families.<br /><br />Essential Functions<br /><br />Serve as Permanency Specialist, providing experienced professional casework services to children and families.<br /><br />Work with intact families and children in home and/or substitute care.<br /><br />Conduct interviews with clients and professionals to obtain information for continued diagnosis of problems and development of treatment plans.<br /><br />Transport clients when taking protective custody, placing them in substitute care, and changing placement location.<br /><br />Prepare and maintain case documentation for planning, implementing, and evaluating services.<br /><br />Participate in case staffings to facilitate case transfer and in multi‑disciplinary diagnostic and technical staff conferences to assess needed services.<br /><br />Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the duties enumerated above.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
