Inventory Specialist<br />This role focuses on performing supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. It also includes Materials Management duties such as analyzing manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on assembly demands, component replenishments, substitute parts/materials, production set‑ups, engineering changes and enterprise supplies. Responsibilities include approving part or material requisitions and initiating production and purchase change orders, supporting daily business activities, ensuring timely, efficient supply ordering, replenishment and delivery, and providing flexibility and backup functions to respond to variations in patient volume while maximizing efficient delivery and use of resources.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br />Responsibility 1 (45%)<br />Conducts inventory of stocked and stored items that is area specific. Ensures that all areas are clean, clear and stocked neatly with their daily supply. Receives incoming mail, sorts, and distributes; prepares outgoing mail items and may utilize Pitney Bowes mail equipment. Receives, distributes packages to areas of need ensuring proper handling. Utilizes electronic tracking system to confirm delivery of received items.<br /><br />Responsibility 2 (45%)<br />Rotates all stock in stock locations and general stores. Routinely checks assigned areas for expired products. Checks, picks up and delivers leveled items to appropriate nursing units. Labels chargeable item upon receipt.<br /><br />Responsibility 3 (10%)<br />Participates in annual inventory. Enters completed par leveled data in Peoplesoft MM System 13.<br /><br />Required Qualifications<br /><br />Years of Applicable Experience – 2 or more years<br /><br />Education – High School Diploma or GED (Required)<br /><br />Preferred Qualifications<br /><br />Ability to read and write in English<br /><br />Ability to understand both written and verbal instruction and provide follow through on instructions<br /><br />Computer and keyboard skills for basic data entry<br /><br />Knowledge of computer systems and software with an ability to learn and retain new applications<br /><br />Experience in a Hospital Supply Chain Setting<br /><br />Intermediate Computer Skills<br /><br />Additional Job Requirements<br /><br />Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time<br /><br />Be adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlines<br /><br />Attention to detail<br /><br />Operate computer programs and software<br /><br />Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats<br /><br />Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or the public)<br /><br />Making independent decisions<br /><br />Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions<br /><br />Working Conditions<br />Hospital Environment. Travel Requirements: No travel required. Physical Demands: Heavy – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.<br /><br />Salary<br />Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $42,000 - $63,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
