Hybrid –<br /><br />Oakland, CA (Up to 2 Days/Week Onsite)<br />Contract:<br /><br />8 Months (Potential for Extension)<br />Hourly Rate:<br /><br />$70/hour<br />Swoon<br /><br />is partnering with a leading utility and energy provider t to hire a<br /><br />Data Analyst<br /><br />who is passionate about transforming data into actionable business insights.<br />This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex datasets, building executive dashboards, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic decision-making.<br />If you have strong experience with<br /><br />Power BI, SQL, Python, SAP, and Excel , and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!<br />What You'll Do<br /><br />Analyze complex business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that drive operational improvements and strategic decisions.<br />Develop and maintain executive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using<br /><br />Power BI .<br />Extract, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems.<br />Query and analyze data using<br /><br />SQL ,<br /><br />Python , and<br /><br />SAP .<br />Build automated reporting solutions using<br /><br />Excel<br /><br />and<br /><br />Power Query .<br />Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and deliver data-driven solutions.<br />Present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.<br />Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.<br />Learn and leverage enterprise analytics platforms such as<br /><br />Foundry ,<br /><br />Copperleaf , and<br /><br />GIS .<br />What We're Looking For<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).<br />Proven experience developing dashboards and reports in<br /><br />Power BI .<br />Strong<br /><br />SQL<br /><br />skills and experience working with large, structured datasets.<br />Experience using<br /><br />Python ,<br /><br />SAP , Microsoft<br /><br />Excel , and<br /><br />Power Query .<br />Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.<br />Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights for diverse audiences.<br />Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams and business functions.<br />Preferred Qualifications<br /><br />Experience with<br /><br />Foundry ,<br /><br />Copperleaf , or<br /><br />GIS<br /><br />platforms.<br />Previous experience within the<br /><br />utility, energy, infrastructure, or asset-intensive industries<br /><br />is a plus.<br />If you're looking to apply your data analytics expertise in an organization that supports critical infrastructure and delivers essential services to millions of customers, we'd love to connect!<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
