We hire people who like solving problems, embrace change, stay curious, and can enjoy a good laugh while doing meaningful work.<br />We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (FP&amp;A) serves as a key strategic partner in driving the financial health and performance of the Credit Union. This role exemplifies CWCU's core competencies by providing collaborative, member-focused solutions, and by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. The Senior Accountant delivers comprehensive accounting and analytical support across core financial areas—including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, investments, member shares, and loans—while playing a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling. This position provides insightful financial analysis and actionable recommendations to support data-driven decision-making, long-term planning, and the achievement of organizational goals. Collaborating closely with leadership, the Controller, CFO, and cross-functional teams, the Senior Accountant evaluates financial results, identifies trends, and supports strategic initiatives to enhance profitability, efficiency, and member value.<br />What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)<br /><br />Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (70%)<br /><br />Partner with business units to develop forecasts, budgets, and long-range financial plans<br />Conduct scenario analysis, financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business initiatives and investment opportunities<br />Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, efficiency, and member value<br />Prepare and present financial analysis to senior management and support strategic planning initiatives<br />Advocate for change and recommend improvements that benefit employees and members<br />Develop, monitor, and report on key financial metrics , trends, and variances to support decisions<br />Support the annual budgeting process, including data gathering, analysis, and presentation of budget vs. actual results<br />Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude and commitment to accuracy and timeliness in reporting<br />Audit, Compliance &amp; Risk Management (15%)<br /><br />Assist with internal and external audits by preparing and submitting requested materials<br />Support exam and audit preparation, including resolution of regulatory and audit findings<br />Support compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations through accurate reporting, analysis, and documentation<br />Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and process improvements<br />Make sound decisions aligned with organizational priorities and the highest standards of ethics and integrity<br />Mentor and train accounting staff; provide guidance and support as needed<br />Foster cooperation and collaboration within the accounting team to achieve department goals<br />Establish and maintain effective relationships internally, with members, and with community partners<br />Communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring messages to the audience and building rapport at all levels<br />Support a culture of continuous learning, open dialogue, and shared achievement<br />Other Duties (5%)<br /><br />Attend training sessions and stay updated on policies and regulatory requirements<br />Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with CWCU values and continuous improvement<br />What We're Looking For<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ( CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred )<br />3+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, ALM , preferably within a financial institution<br />Demonstrated understanding of GAAP , financial institution accounting, and regulatory requirements<br />Advanced proficiency in accounting and financial analysis tools (e.g., Great Plains, Excel, Power BI , or similar)<br />Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities<br />Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders<br />Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment<br />Commitment to CWCU's core values and competencies, including integrity, respect, compassion, and continuous improvement<br />What We Offer<br /><br />Paid time off: 10 paid holidays + 5 paid sick days annually<br />Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision starting the 1st of the month after hire<br />Upon completion of your 6 th month of employment, you're eligible to enroll in Central Willamette's 401(k) program.
