Commercial Pricing Analyst<br />TOTE Maritime Alaska | Tacoma, WA<br /><br />Department: Commercial<br /><br />Reports To: Director, Pricing<br /><br />FLSA Status: Exempt<br /><br />Help Drive Revenue for an Industry Leader<br />TOTE Maritime Alaska is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and customer-focused<br /><br />Pricing Analyst<br /><br />to join our Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys<br /><br />working with data, solving business challenges, supporting commercial strategy, and influencing revenue growth .<br /><br />As a member of the team responsible for<br /><br />all topline revenue , you will play a critical role in evaluating pricing requests, supporting contract negotiations, analyzing customer accounts, and providing insights that help drive strategic business decisions.<br /><br />This position offers the opportunity to work closely with<br /><br />Sales, Business Development, Customer Service, and leadership teams<br /><br />while contributing directly to the financial success of the organization.<br /><br />What You’ll Do<br />Pricing & Account Management<br /><br />Review and evaluate<br /><br />customer pricing requests<br /><br />and determine appropriate rate levels based on corporate costs, market conditions, and existing pricing structures.<br /><br />Develop and prepare<br /><br />contract proposals<br /><br />for customers and internal stakeholders.<br /><br />Partner with customers and the Sales team to<br /><br />negotiate pricing and contract terms .<br /><br />Review customer agreements and ensure pricing accuracy and compliance.<br /><br />Produce and maintain<br /><br />rate comparisons , pricing analyses, and recommendations.<br /><br />Analyze customer accounts and recommend adjustments to maximize revenue opportunities.<br /><br />Business Analysis & Reporting<br /><br />Analyze<br /><br />revenue, expense, customer, equipment, and market segment data<br /><br />to support decision-making.<br /><br />Prepare and update standard and customized pricing reports.<br /><br />Assist in producing<br /><br />Flash Reports, yield projections, and revenue forecasts .<br /><br />Participate in the publication of<br /><br />Surface Transportation Board (STB) tariffs .<br /><br />Provide<br /><br />transaction-level business analytics<br /><br />to multiple departments throughout the organization.<br /><br />Operational & Customer Support<br /><br />Enter and maintain contractual information within company systems while ensuring a high level of accuracy.<br /><br />Serve as a resource for the Customer Service team regarding<br /><br />invoice production and billing inquiries .<br /><br />Troubleshoot and resolve<br /><br />booking, pricing, and invoicing issues<br /><br />in a fast-paced environment.<br /><br />Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations teams to support customer and business needs.<br /><br />What We’re Looking For<br />Required Qualifications<br /><br />Bachelor’s degree<br /><br />in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.<br /><br />Strong<br /><br />analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills .<br /><br />Excellent<br /><br />verbal and written communication skills .<br /><br />Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br /><br />Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.<br /><br />Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.<br /><br />Proficiency with<br /><br />Microsoft Office Suite , including:<br /><br />Excel<br /><br />Outlook<br /><br />Word<br /><br />PowerPoint<br /><br />Access<br /><br />Preferred Qualifications<br /><br />Experience in<br /><br />Pricing Analysis, Revenue Management, Business Analytics, Financial Analysis, or Commercial Operations .<br /><br />Experience supporting<br /><br />transportation, logistics, maritime, shipping, or supply chain organizations .<br /><br />Experience working with<br /><br />customer contracts, pricing structures, and revenue modeling .<br /><br />Key Skills & Competencies<br /><br />Pricing Analysis<br /><br />Revenue Management<br /><br />Business Analytics<br /><br />Contract Management<br /><br />Financial Reporting<br /><br />Data Analysis<br /><br />Problem Solving<br /><br />Critical Thinking<br /><br />Customer Service<br /><br />Communication<br /><br />Attention to Detail<br /><br />Organization<br /><br />Time Management<br /><br />Relationship Building<br /><br />Collaboration<br /><br />Why Join TOTE Maritime Alaska?<br />At TOTE Maritime Alaska, you’ll join a company that plays a critical role in keeping Alaska connected.
