Beyond their acumen, team members are collaborative and conscientious, bringing a healthy sense of drive and purpose to each interaction and to all aspects of their work.<br /><br />About the Role<br />The role involves reviewing client files for a variety of compliance‑driven projects, including Know Your Customer ("KYC") remediation, data remediation, regulatory inspection readiness, quality assurance outcomes, daily screening of contacts, and other initiatives as required. Working under the supervision and direction of the Team Leader and Deputy Head of Compliance–Operations, the Compliance Analyst will support MCS (Cayman and BVI) businesses and ensure that the Maples Group is at all times compliant with the provisions of relevant financial services legislation in the Cayman Islands and BVI.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Review client files for compliance‑driven projects, including KYC reviews, and update files as necessary.<br /><br />Obtain identification documentation where required to ensure that data, documents and information remain current and align with current regulatory requirements.<br /><br />Obtain appropriate identification documentation to verify the beneficial owners of clients in accordance with the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Act ("BOTA").<br /><br />Review the results of daily screening of contacts to determine whether there is a possible match or a false positive.<br /><br />Conduct searches, gather data, and record evidence from internal systems, the internet, and commercial databases; where needed, make inquiries with business or compliance contacts within the organization.<br /><br />Escalate any possible matches and red flags to the AMLCO or delegate for further investigation.<br /><br />Maintain records of investigations and documentation in line with policies and procedures.<br /><br />Provide coverage for other offices as may be required from time to time.<br /><br />Support ad‑hoc requests and projects as may be required from time to time.<br /><br />Experience<br />What You Bring<br /><br />3 or more years of experience, working in legal services or professional services.<br /><br />Advanced understanding of KYC and AML regulatory obligations.<br /><br />Strong attention to detail.<br /><br />Comfortable working with time constraints and deadlines.<br /><br />Ability to work with minimal supervision.<br /><br />Effective communicator and confident in client interaction.<br /><br />Strong organisational skills.<br /><br />Bright, enthusiastic and quick learner.<br /><br />Proactive and solutions driven.<br /><br />Strong team player.<br /><br />Enthusiastic and committed to pursuing a career in compliance.<br /><br />Knowledge of offshore jurisdictions (Cayman and BVI).<br /><br />Benefits & Rewards<br /><br />Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental and optical).<br /><br />Competitive vacation packages.<br /><br />Educational assistance and professional development programmes.<br /><br />Savings or pension plan.<br /><br />Life insurance.<br /><br />Travel insurance.Global mental wellness programme.<br /><br />Sports clubs and social events.<br /><br />About Maples Group<br />Over five decades, the Maples Group has grown from modest beginnings into one of the world's preeminent professional services firms, offering specialised fiduciary, fund administration, regulatory and compliance, entity formation and management and legal services on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Jersey, Luxembourg and Singapore.<br /><br />You can learn more about the Maples Group on our corporate website.
