We want to build the best we can deliver and we believe wholeheartedly in the value of exceptional diverse talent.<br /><br />Cloud Imperium is looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Mission Designer to work on its ever-expanding Persistent Universe at its UK studio located in the heart of Manchester.<br /><br />About the role:<br />You would be a part of The Mission Design Team (MDT) made up of designers, a producer and embedded QAs, responsible for many aspects of the game, such as creation of the first implementation of new missions, upkeep of existing missions, Creation of Events for players.<br /><br />Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We're currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. Join us as we break boundaries and make videogame history.<br /><br />What does a Mission Designer at CIG do?<br /><br />Work with your lead to nail down details of a high-level design.<br /><br />Design, document and implement missions and gameplay systems under the guidance of senior team members.<br /><br />Work in various in-house tools including StarScript, a visual scripting editor, to create logic for missions, systems and events.<br /><br />Work closely with other disciplines to plan and sort out dependencies to guarantee deliveries on time.<br /><br />Actively seek feedback, iterate on your work and grow your craft within the team<br /><br />What do we expect from our Mission Designers?<br /><br />Previous industry experience on AAA or equivalent titles with a solid design portfolio<br /><br />A working understanding of visual scripting or coding fundamentals<br /><br />Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across disciplines<br /><br />A willingness to learn, take direction and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment<br /><br />Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with other departments<br /><br />The ability to work with and respect frequent deadlines<br /><br />So, if you are an enthusiastic and self-motivated mission designer please apply for this role immediately!<br /><br />CIG Diversity Statement<br />CIG is a global company, staunchly committed to cultivating a culture and workplace that celebrates all backgrounds, lifestyles, and perspectives.
