Accounting Analyst<br />Birmingham, Alabama<br /><br />$65,000 - $85,000<br /><br />Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting activities, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple operating units. This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for maintaining accurate financial data and providing analytical support used in decision-making.<br /><br />As Accounting Analyst, you will contribute to month-end close processes, prepare and analyze financial and capital-related reports, support forecasting and variance analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate classification and reporting of financial information.<br /><br />What You'll Do:<br /><br />Prepare and post journal entries, including depreciation, asset transfers, and dispositions<br /><br />Maintain accurate records and calculations for fixed assets and related accounts<br /><br />Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts during the month-end close process<br /><br />Prepare and analyze financial and capital expenditure reports<br /><br />Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual variance analysis<br /><br />Track, review, and classify construction-in-progress and project-related costs<br /><br />Collaborate with internal teams to gather, review, and validate financial data<br /><br />Assist with audit schedules and provide documentation as requested<br /><br />Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial reporting processes<br /><br />What We're Looking For:<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field<br /><br />1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, audit, or a related role<br /><br />GPA of 3.0 or higher<br /><br />Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large datasets<br /><br />Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles<br /><br />Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy<br /><br />Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management<br /><br />Experience working with accounting or financial reporting systems is preferred<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
