Cleared Financial Analyst

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst (Secret Clearance) to support budget planning, execution, and financial reporting for government defense programs. This role is onsite at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, MD .<br /><br />Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst include:<br /><br />Manage and analyze DoD budgets using financial systems and tools, including tracking obligations, expenditures, and travel-related costs.<br /><br />Support the development and execution of annual, multi-year, and expiring budgets in accordance with DoD policies.<br /><br />Identify and resolve budget discrepancies, funding issues, and programmatic concerns.<br /><br />Prepare and review financial reports for regular reporting cycles and monitor data in the Defense Travel System (DTS).<br /><br />Analyze spend plans prior to funding execution and ensure accuracy of financial documentation.<br /><br />Create and track financial documents such as MIPRs and PWDs.<br /><br />Monitor appropriations, allocations, and forecasts for current and future funding.<br /><br />Provide financial analysis during Program Management Reviews (PMRs), financial reviews, and data calls.<br /><br />Conduct financial research and special assignments to support budget accuracy and completeness.<br /><br />Evaluate short- and long-term financial plans and goals for strategic implementation.<br /><br />Qualifications for the Financial Analyst include:<br /><br />Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar (preferred)<br /><br />1–5+ years of experience in financial or budget analysis<br /><br />Proficiency in Excel required, Power BI reporting experience is a plus<br /><br />Familiarity with DoD financial systems such as GFEBS, LMP, WAWF, EDA, DTS is preferred<br /><br />Ability to identify and correct financial data discrepancies<br /><br />MUST possess an ACTIVE Secret Clearance with the United States government<br /><br />Compensation for the Financial Analyst includes:<br /><br />Salary range: approximately $65,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience<br /><br />Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical/Dental/Vision, ADP 401k, STD, LTD, Paid sick leave<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
