The RN Injection Specialist will administer injections safely and effectively, educate patients on treatments, monitor adverse reactions, and maintain accurate documentation. This role requires excellent patient care, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices in medication administration.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities:<br /><br />Administer various types of injections, including intramuscular and subcutaneous, while following proper protocols and guidelines.<br /><br />Assess patients prior to injection administration to ensure safety and appropriateness of treatment.<br /><br />Educate patients about the purpose, benefits, and possible side effects of injections.<br /><br />Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions if needed.<br /><br />Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of injections and patient responses.<br /><br />Follow strict infection control and medication administration guidelines.<br /><br />Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.<br /><br />Ensure all medications and injection supplies are stored and handled properly.<br /><br />Stay updated on best practices, new medications, and safety regulations related to injections.<br /><br />Complies with national PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.<br /><br />Qualifications:<br /><br />Active<br /><br />Registered Nurse (RN) license<br /><br />in Montana.<br /><br />Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic or hospital setting.<br /><br />Certification in<br /><br />Basic Life Support (BLS)<br /><br />Experience with a variety of injection techniques and medications.<br /><br />Strong knowledge of pharmacology and potential medication interactions.<br /><br />Excellent communication and patient education skills.<br /><br />Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.<br /><br />Preferred Experience:<br /><br />Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.<br /><br />Experience in an addiction related field.<br /><br />Work Environment:<br /><br />General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.<br /><br />Administers injections in designated injection room for patient comfort.<br /><br />Standing for extended periods and occasional lifting may be required.<br /><br />$50/hr<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
