TS/SCI GUI Developer

Job Description<br /><br />Insight Global is seeking a Front-End Software Developer to support a defense client in Aberdeen, MD. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing modern user interfaces that support engineering, simulation, and test environments. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable web applications, integrating real-time data sources, and creating intuitive dashboards and visualization tools for technical users. This role will work closely with software, systems, modeling &amp; simulation, and hardware engineering teams to transform complex technical workflows into user-friendly applications that support mission-critical programs. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.<br /><br />$60/hr to $75/hr.<br /><br />Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.<br /><br />Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.<br /><br />Skills and Requirements<br /><br />Active TS/SCI security clearance Experience developing using GUI tools to physical systems and embedded hardware. Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs, WebSockets, message-based interfaces, and backend services Experience developing dashboards, visualization tools, data-driven interfaces, or engineering applications Familiarity with software development best practices including Git, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines Ability to collaborate directly with engineers and end users to translate technical requirements into effective user experiences Experience supporting Modeling &amp; Simulation (M&amp;S) environments Experience developing applications for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) systems Experience visualizing real-time telemetry, sensor data, simulation outputs, or system health information Familiarity with Python, C++, or other engineering-focused programming languages Experience with 2D/3D visualization, scientific visualization, plotting libraries, or geospatial applications Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ROS/ROS 2, Unreal Engine, Unity, Gazebo, or similar simulation frameworks Experience integrating applications with unmanned systems, robotics platforms, embedded systems, or physical hardware Experience supporting aerospace, defense, autonomy, or other complex engineering environments Experience developing highly interactive user interfaces for technical and operational users<br /><br />We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
