Job Summary:<br /><br />MIMCO is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the company’s acquisition, disposition, and development activities through financial modeling, debt management, market analysis, and budgeting. This role will play a critical part in providing accurate financial projections, supporting commercial loan activities, and enhancing investment decision-making through research and data-driven analysis. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.<br />Description<br /><br />MIMCO is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the company’s acquisition, disposition, and development activities through financial modeling, debt management, market analysis, and budgeting. This role will play a critical part in providing accurate financial projections, supporting commercial loan activities, and enhancing investment decision-making through research and data-driven analysis. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.<br />Requirements<br /><br />Essential/Key Functions:<br /><br />Producing Pro Formas:<br />Produce and maintain accurate &amp; detailed acquisition, disposition, and development pro formas for MIMCO and affiliated entities.<br />Become an expert with MIMCO’s proprietary Comprehensive Model and utilize ai tools such as Claude Excel plug-in to enhance speediness and comprehensiveness of the pro formas.<br />Debt Management:<br />Assist in developing refinance strategies, including new lender identification and evaluation of existing lender pool (banks, credit unions, insurance companies, brokers).<br />Assist SVP of Finance with refinancing loans where the refinancing amount is $5 MM or less.<br />Complete quarterly loan portfolio report for SVP of Finance.<br />Assist accounting department with inputting debt-related information into Yardi’s debt menu<br />Market Analysis:<br />Conduct real estate market research, including comparable sales, rental analysis, and investment opportunity identification.<br />Become proficient with usage of CoStar.<br />Ad Hoc Analysis &amp; Support:<br />Assist SVP of Finance and other management team members with special projects, financial analysis, and investor relations support as needed.<br />Provide support with Yardi Investment Manager (IM) to SVP of Finance and accounting department<br />Valuations (Seasonal – Oct ~ Dec)<br />Complete Valuations task for MIMCO-affiliated entities.<br />Reconciliations (Seasonal – Jan ~ March)<br />Assist VP of Acquisitions &amp; Dispositions with annual tenant reconciliation process.<br />Perform in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.<br />Comply with MIMCO policies and procedures.<br />Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary.<br />Other duties as assigned by management<br />Management Responsibilities<br /><br />No direct reports<br />Minimum (Required) Qualifications<br /><br />Education<br /><br />Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. min<br />Experience<br /><br />Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in real estate financial analysis, or a role that involves underwriting.<br />Knowledge, Skills And Abilities<br /><br />Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; advanced modeling skills required.<br />Exposure or willingness to learn Claude Excel plug-in.<br />Experience or familiarity with Yardi (Debt Menu and IM) preferred.<br />Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.<br />Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.<br />Disclaimer<br /><br />This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
