Logistics Specialist

Position Title:<br /><br />Logistics Specialist (Small Package)<br />Reporting To:<br /><br />Director of Operations<br />Job Location:<br /><br />Bristol, WI<br />Status:<br /><br />Exempt<br />Job Purpose:<br /><br />Facilitate smooth functioning of small package area as well as contribute key logistics support in other operational areas. Help ensure daily picking/packing is complete, accurate and efficient. Serve as primary return authorization clerk. Serve as primary backup to the traffic coordinator.<br />Essential Duties/Responsibilities<br /><br />Work with the Shipping Coordinator (Small Package) to verify all shipments are correct, paperwork is accurate, and shipments ship timely<br />Responsible for effective and accurate small package selection – both for aggregation with LTLs/Truckloads as well as direct small package shipment<br />Help maintain climate control room(s) and small package area organization<br />Manage inbound return authorizations, product check and requisite computer/paper work<br />Train under traffic coordinator to learn our outbound LTL and truckload SOPs to be able to serve as primary backup to the position.<br />Qualifications &amp; Requirements<br /><br />1+ years of related or transferable experience<br />Possesses strong planning skills and attention to detail<br />Knowledge of AS400 preferred<br />Proficient at MS Office and Excel<br />Physical Demands<br /><br />Walking and standing 80% of the time<br />Lifting up to 50 pounds<br />Stooping and kneeling<br />Working Conditions<br /><br />Office and Warehouse environment<br />This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee; other duties may be assigned.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
