Job Title<br /><br />Assistant Coordinator, 21st CCLC Afterschool Site (4/7.5 Hours and 200 days) – Barren County Schools, Glasgow, Kentucky.<br />Reports to Building Principal/Community Education Director. Starting Date: Aug 3, 2026.<br />Qualifications and Requirements<br /><br />High school diploma or GED.<br />Clean criminal record; no felony convictions or past criminal history.<br />Good health evidenced by completion of a physical examination as prescribed by the Board.<br />Critical Skills and Expertise<br /><br />Creative strengths to provide innovative activities.<br />Strong written and verbal communication skills.<br />Strong organizational skills.<br />Budget knowledge.<br />Essential Job Functions<br /><br />Work with all facets of the Barren County / Glasgow community.<br />Manage people and records.<br />Evaluate the success of programs and act accordingly.<br />Supervise students.<br />Provide academic programs for remediation and enrichment.<br />Provide recreational programs.<br />Data management and presentation.<br />Expand parent involvement.<br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Assist the director in implementing and ensuring compliance with Kentucky Child Care Regulations.<br />Support the director’s key responsibilities, including providing health, safety, and comfort for all children, developing and implementing program policies, and protecting each child from abuse and neglect.<br />Supervise all daily and weekly tasks, including reviewing staff and children’s schedules, observing classroom management, and overseeing curriculum implementation.<br />Provide support for daily and weekly activities, including recruitment efforts and managing program calendars.<br />Greet parents and visitors, answer questions, arrange meetings, lead tours, and perform other daily customer service tasks.<br />Ensure all required paperwork for children, staff, and licensing is obtained and organized in a timely manner in accordance with state licensing regulations (including required emergency plans and drills).<br />Increase parent involvement.<br />Coordinate summer enrichment and remediation activities.<br />Initiate new community partnerships.<br />Oversee the after-school program.<br />Organize the program’s nutritional component in accordance with BCBOE nutrition service regulations and policies.<br />Initiate transitional activities across the center’s components for elementary and middle-to-high-school students.<br />Ensure that each Learning Center’s instructional scope focuses on all students reaching proficiency.<br />Provide recreational and academic enrichment activities for students and parents.<br />Help maintain accurate financial records.<br />Investigate and respond to incoming communications.<br />Facilitate home-school communication.<br />Monitor and maintain accurate records and reports regarding attendance, discipline, and assessment results to determine the effect on participants.<br />Ensure that the grant’s components and requirements are implemented to maintain compliance and continued funding.<br />Complete any other tasks assigned by the Site Coordinator.<br />Additional Requirements<br /><br />Complete all required training and attend in-service sessions.<br />Perform assigned tasks on time.<br />Consistently display self-control with parents, students, and school personnel.<br />Maintain a clean workstation (bus, desk, office, etc.) and perform maintenance as needed.<br />Be clean, neat, and appropriately dressed.<br />Be consistently responsible and demonstrate honesty and credibility.<br />Demonstrate enthusiasm, interest, and concern for the overall program and its effective operation.<br />Maintain student control.<br />Safely operate equipment at all times.<br />Demonstrate positive behavior toward the purposes and goals of Barren County Public Schools.<br />Maintain regular and punctual attendance.<br />Terms of Employment<br /><br />Pay commensurate with the position of Afterschool Site Assistant-Coordinator, with a contracted time of 4 or 7.5 hours for up to 200 days in the contracted year, or a part-time per-hour rate.<br />Physical Requirements<br /><br />Workers stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift frequently (up to 25 pounds) and must be physically and emotionally able to support youth development activities.<br />Evaluation<br /><br />The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on the Evaluation of Classified Personnel.<br />Compliance Statement<br /><br />The information in this job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position.<br />Citizenship and Immigration<br /><br />Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
