Job Title:<br /><br />Certification Analyst<br />Agency:<br /><br />Texas A&M University – Victoria<br />Department:<br /><br />College of Education & Health Professions<br />Location:<br /><br />Victoria, Texas<br />Job Type:<br /><br />Staff<br />Proposed Minimum Salary:<br /><br />$3,111.33 monthly (commensurate with experience)<br />Job Description<br /><br />Coordinates and administers the student certification program and advises current and prospective students.<br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Advises current and prospective students regarding certification process, degree plan requirements, and retention policies.<br />Provides guidance and advice on academic success strategies, course selection, major, and career exploration; monitors student progress.<br />Inputs student data into state and federal websites for licensing and certification.<br />Analyzes, processes, and verifies student degree plans, transfer credit applicability, student teaching applications, graduation applications, appeals, and major changes.<br />Reviews and analyzes student data for accuracy and assists with data collection for state and federal reporting.<br />Provides assistance to satellite campus advisors with complex student cases and incomplete student records regarding Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements and procedures.<br />Assists with recruiting events.<br />Performs other job-related duties as assigned.<br />Education & Experience<br /><br />Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.<br />One year of related experience.<br />Other Requirements<br /><br />All positions are security-sensitive.
