CAD Engineer/Designer

Weston &amp; Sampson is seeking motivated Civil CAD designers utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to support highly skilled engineering and design of infrastructure projects. This position is open to any Weston &amp; Sampson office location or remote. You will prepare site civil, land development, structural, stormwater, and utility design plan sheets while working with a multidisciplinary team. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.<br /><br />What You’ll Do<br /><br />Support site civil, land development, structural, stormwater, utility designs for infrastructure projects.<br /><br />Expertise in the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D<br /><br />Experience in developing plan sets that includes multi-disciplinary engineering plans<br /><br />Experience in grading for site design and dam rehabilitation projects<br /><br />Preparing alignments, cross sections and profiles<br /><br />Familiarity with survey data and ability to support development of topographic and boundary survey base plans<br /><br />Creating surfaces from survey point data<br /><br />Developing construction details<br /><br />Work collaboratively with engineers and project managers on a fast-paced schedule to produce quality work and meet deadlines.<br /><br />What You Will Bring<br /><br />Associates or Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, or similar field<br /><br />5+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction drawings, Civil 3D Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, and Cross Sections and Grading Objects.<br /><br />Flexibility to perform design, drafting and recognize the importance of meeting stringent deadlines in an often fast-paced environment<br /><br />Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to effectively plan &amp; manage time commitments on multiple concurrent projects<br /><br />Strong understanding of CAD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, and drawing setup<br /><br />Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as being self-directed and managing projects independently.<br /><br />Experience processing survey data<br /><br />Experience processing lidar scan data and point clouds<br /><br />Bluebeam<br /><br />Survey experience/knowledge a plus<br /><br />Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000k<br /><br />Weston &amp; Sampson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
