Be among the first 25 applicants<br /><br />Overview<br />Statewide Underwriting Services is a relationship-based independent insurance agency with over 100 years of knowledge and experience providing solutions to our agents on behalf of their policyholders. We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The CSR will work closely with the Accounting, Claims, Underwriting, and Agency Management departments, and interact with insurance agencies and external business partners. The position requires upholding the core company values: Positive Attitude; Adaptability; Work Ethic; Dedication; Relational Greatness - Good Customer Service, built on a foundation of trust.<br /><br />Base pay range<br />$45,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate departments<br /><br />Act as primary contact for billing, general and claims calls, including answering general billing, claims &amp; underwriting questions<br /><br />Process insured's policy payments<br /><br />Create first notice of loss<br /><br />Review policy for previous claims, notify adjuster<br /><br />Process installment billing for three companies daily<br /><br />Meet, greet &amp; direct guests as needed<br /><br />Administrative support responsibilities<br /><br />Assist insured, agents, contractors regarding questions on claims<br /><br />Process all incoming and outgoing mail<br /><br />Collate claim checks and refund checks for proper mailing<br /><br />Support management across all departments as needed (project work, etc.)<br /><br />Process daily print job to create new business, renewal dec pages, and endorsements from the prior business day<br /><br />Collate policy printouts to assemble policy jackets and send to appropriate policyholders<br /><br />Send agents/brokers electronic documents<br /><br />Assist with sending mortgage companies and agents/brokers copies of dec pages, endorsements, etc. upon request<br /><br />Run various agency management reports as assigned<br /><br />Order marketing materials<br /><br />Help set up and organize marketing events<br /><br />Data administration responsibilities<br /><br />Set up claim in policy admin system with appropriate reserves and adjuster<br /><br />Set up claim and ensure proper documentation is in ImageRight<br /><br />Process all Brokerage/MSA documents<br /><br />Contact agency by email and/or telephone to obtain required information<br /><br />Obtain and maintain current Agency/Agent licenses and E&amp;O proof of coverage<br /><br />Order marketing materials<br /><br />Help set up and organize marketing events<br /><br />Education and experience<br /><br />2-3 years of administrative and/or customer-facing work experience; phone experience preferred<br /><br />Proficiency with phone systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)<br /><br />Liability insurance related experience is a plus<br /><br />Bachelor's degree is preferred<br /><br />Skills<br /><br />Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders<br /><br />Ability to manage a large volume of work<br /><br />Attention to detail<br /><br />Ability to prioritize calls and balance other tasks<br /><br />Well organized; able to work independently<br /><br />Adaptability and flexibility<br /><br />Benefits<br /><br />Paid holidays<br /><br />Health insurance<br /><br />Dental insurance<br /><br />Vision insurance<br /><br />401(k)<br /><br />Paid time off<br /><br />Tution reimbursement<br /><br />Seniority level<br /><br />Entry level<br /><br />Employment type<br /><br />Full-time<br /><br />Job function<br /><br />Customer Service<br /><br />Industries<br /><br />IT Services and IT Consulting<br /><br />Location: Montgomery, NY<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
