Developer Support Engineer, XR Products

In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer a culture that promotes Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Manage developer program for 3rd party developers building apps for Sony Spatial Reality Display (auto‑stereoscopic 3D display) and Mocopi (wearable sensors for VR avatar experiences).<br /><br />Provide technical support to 3rd party developers and internal teams.<br /><br />Requirements<br /><br />Proven experience in a graphics pipeline development role.<br /><br />Experience building VR applications with Unity, Unreal and OpenGL or DirectX.<br /><br />Excellent debugging / troubleshooting skills with the above technology.<br /><br />Excellent Windows troubleshooting and profiling skills.<br /><br />Experience with the APIs for third‑party geometry formats and APIs: FBX, USD, STL, OBJ, GLTF.<br /><br />Working knowledge of USD, Hydra and other 3D open source projects (OpenImageIO, MaterialX).<br /><br />Understanding of real‑time game engines, like Unreal Engine and Unity.<br /><br />Preferred Requirements<br /><br />Experience integrating renderers to Digital Content Creation tools like Maya, Blender, Sketchup, Houdini, etc.<br /><br />Knowledge of standard UI toolkits, specifically QT/PyQT.<br /><br />Motion capture experience.<br /><br />Textures and shader experience.<br /><br />iOS and Android development experience.<br /><br />Education<br />Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 3 years of experience.<br /><br />Technology and Sub‑technology<br /><br />3D Graphics, 3D Math.<br /><br />Opengl, Directx.<br /><br />Game Engine developer support.<br /><br />Sony Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values employees with a broad cross‑cultural perspective and strives to create an inclusive environment.<br /><br />Disability Accommodation for Applicants: Sony Electronics, Inc. provides reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in job application procedures.<br /><br />#J-18808-Ljbffr
