Facilities Coordinator<br />The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the upkeep of the Alliance for Living (AFL) facilities. AFL facilities are considered the building’s exterior, including grounds, interior, and agency vehicles. This position will perform maintenance and driving duties including light cleaning, supply pickup/drop-off, yard work, and repairs, as well as coordinating with outside contractors to ensure they have access to the property when needed.<br /><br />Classification<br />Non-exempt, at-will position. Full-time, benefits eligible.<br /><br />Reports To<br />COO<br /><br />Responsibilities<br /><br />Maintains presence at AFL’s property to respond to issues as they arise.<br /><br />Ensures buildings are locked and armed at the end of each day.<br /><br />Loads and unloads equipment and supply deliveries.<br /><br />Stocks materials within the building (e.g., paper, cleaning products, bathroom supplies) and coordinates ordering of replenishments when needed.<br /><br />Coordinates holiday food basket program with the COO.<br /><br />Ensures compliance with all company safety regulations and confidentiality agreement.<br /><br />Other duties as assigned.<br /><br />Maintenance Activities<br /><br />Conducts regular inspections of the building, grounds, and office equipment, reporting any issues to supervisor.<br /><br />Maintains grounds including weeding, mowing, and sweeping.<br /><br />Clears shared spaces, including trash disposal and cardboard recycling, between weekly outside cleaning company visits.<br /><br />Responds to internal repair and maintenance requests in a timely manner, completing minor building maintenance and repair with appropriate tools.<br /><br />Communicates to COO when an outside contractor is needed for repairs and maintenance requiring additional expertise.<br /><br />Assists outside contractors performing work at AFL (e.g., cleaning company, office supply delivery drivers, HVAC technicians).<br /><br />Driving Activities<br /><br />Drives to pick up and deliver supplies and donations for AFL, including loading and unloading weekly Gemma E. Moran donations.<br /><br />Ensures AFL vehicles operate at the highest quality, including maintaining all proper maintenance records.<br /><br />Minimum Qualifications<br /><br />At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience.<br /><br />Reliable driving experience with a clean driving record.<br /><br />Reliable and able to work independently, effectively, and efficiently under pressure.<br /><br />Ability to multi-task, juggling competing demands with limited supervision.<br /><br />Understanding and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries.<br /><br />Excellent communication skills for dealing with internal and external contacts.<br /><br />Ability to honor confidentiality requirements during both employment and post-employment periods.<br /><br />Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.<br /><br />Bi-lingual ability a plus.<br /><br />Physical Requirements<br /><br />Frequent movement throughout the building.<br /><br />Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds between floors; larger items require team lift.<br /><br />Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching for maintenance of the facilities.<br /><br />Occasional outdoor exposure to maintain grounds (e.g., snow removal and salt spreading in the winter, weeding in the summer).<br /><br />Additional Information<br />Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<br /><br />Those with lived experience with substance use disorder as well as individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, life experiences, and identities are encouraged to apply.
