As a member of the Health Services Business Optimization team, the Clinical Business Analyst applies analytical skills, project management, and subject matter expertise to identify opportunities for improvement, design solutions, and manage improvement efforts. This role leads business process analysis and solution design activities, working effectively across the organization with business, clinical, technical subject matter experts. The analyst brings a business-oriented, cross‑functional perspective to leaders and project teams to solve problems and create system solutions – all in service of creating a person‑focused health‑care experience.<br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, healthcare administration, or a related field<br /><br />5+ years of experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design, or configuration and/or acceptance testing (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)<br /><br />Skills &amp; Attributes<br /><br />Perform analysis of medium‑to‑large scale business processes including current state discovery, future state design, gap analysis, and creation of strategic recommendations<br /><br />Utilize formal performance improvement techniques (process mapping, business cases, problem solving)<br /><br />Create comprehensive documentation through formal analysis techniques and develop strong testing documentation, including test cases and test plans<br /><br />Demonstrate strong proficiency with business analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)<br /><br />Use data to present information to inform strategy and decisions for senior leaders<br /><br />Lead analysis activities and document work through creation of project management artifacts (stakeholder diagrams, business cases, requirements management plans, project plans)<br /><br />Knowledge of formal methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, change management (ADKAR), and Agile software development or project management approaches (preferred)<br /><br />Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision‑making in professional settings (highly desired)<br /><br />Facilitate data and requirements gathering activities with groups of various sizes; translate and communicate technical and complex concepts to diverse audiences across organizational lines<br /><br />Ability to lead small teams (3‑5) for complex work efforts and lead cross‑functional groups. Leads large, complex meetings including multiple levels of management and navigate complex political situations<br /><br />Ability to coach and train peers and leaders with constructive feedback<br /><br />What You Will Do<br /><br />Identify process and business improvement opportunities; analyze and create requirements for improving or replacing systems to meet user needs and achieve improved performance<br /><br />Collaborate with leaders to evaluate and prioritize improvement opportunities, define business requirements, and create business cases<br /><br />Consistently apply business analysis and process improvement methods, templates, and tools to produce high‑quality deliverables on time<br /><br />Participate in projects as a team member and make significant contributions to team effectiveness by improving methods, tools, and internal processes<br /><br />Apply analytical and quantitative approaches to problem solving by obtaining and using data, including statistics, financial analysis (ROI, NPV), and quantifying current and future state business performance<br /><br />Drive process development and improvement efforts with a continuous improvement focus<br /><br />Document internal processes to ensure understanding by others, considering cross‑functional change impacts<br /><br />Develop and present status reports to leaders, project teams, and client/customer groups<br /><br />Work independently and in teams; may include mentoring and coaching colleagues with less experience<br /><br />Provide valuable insights, coaching, and instruction to team members for performance methods, tools, and deliverable content (documents and plans)<br /><br />Salary information:<br /><br />Clinical Business Analyst II: $92,700 – $125,400 (base) with 10% bonus target; full salary range $87,000 – $142,000<br /><br />Clinical Business Analyst Sr: $101,200 – $136,900 (base) with 15% bonus target; full salary range $95,000 – $155,000<br /><br />About Cambia<br />Working at Cambia means being part of a purpose‑driven, award‑winning culture built on trust and innovation anchored in our 100+ year history.
